In anticipation of the London 2012 Olympics, New Balance have issued the 574 in two special edition limited colourways featuring leather, suede and RipStop nylon uppers, with gold highlights and ‘Road to London’ detailing. Sharing much of its make up with the seminal 576 running shoe, the 574 was actually developed a decade later than its hugely successful sibling, as a more ‘accessible’ version of the shoe.
